    The Iran-backed Houthis' main broadcaster al-Masirah television recently aired old footage of an interview with leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi in which he warned that the UAE's economy and investments would face “real threats.” Al-Houthi's last public appearance was on December 18, 2021, when he delivered a speech marking The Day of the Martyr, according to Saudi online newspaper Sabq.     Indian actress Shilpa Shetty has been formally cleared of obscenity charges dating from when Hollywood star Richard Gere publicly kissed her on the cheek at an AIDS awareness event 15 years ago. The incident triggered a local firestorm at the time, with Hindu right-wing groups burning effigies of both the celebrities to protest the perceived insult to Indian values. A judge soon afterwards issued arrest warrants, with both accused of various counts of obscenity and indecency.

    F-35 crashes while landing on USS Carl Vinson in South China Sea

    At least seven United States sailors were injured following a “landing mishap” involving a combat aircraft on the deck of a nuclear-powered US carrier, which was sailing in the South China Sea, the US Navy has said. In a statement issued late on Monday, the US Pacific Fleet command said that the F-35C Lightning II jet “was conducting routine flight operations” when the crash happened on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson.

The Friendship Hospital in Satkhira, a cyclone-prone district in the country's south, was announced winner of 2021's prestigious RIBA International Prize on Tuesday, with its architects praised for putting "care and humanity at the heart of its design."
